Information for Human Trafficking Victims
Valiant is committed to working with victims of human trafficking and complies with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) regulations to assist those who are victims of human trafficking. If you are a victim of a severe form of trafficking in persons or sex trafficking, you may request Valiant to block adverse items of information on your consumer report if they resulted from trafficking.
How to Request a Block of Information in Your Background Report
Any person requesting a block of information on their background check must write a letter stating that you are a victim of human trafficking and include the information that is described below. The CFPB has provided a sample letter available here: sample letter

Provide the specific items of information in your consumer report that you believe should not be furnished by a consumer reporting agency because the items are a result of human trafficking.
